In 2017, born from an ongoing dialogue between the director and choreographers, each
choreographer brought to life a site-specific piece, using the landscapes of Beirut as their
canvas. Inspired by and named after Marshall Berman’s 1982 book All That Is Solid Melts Into
Air, the film pays tribute to the 20th-century text through movement.
Amy Dang is a London-based film editor with a background in visual art and a strong
interest in dance films. Her work—both visual and editorial—frequently centres on
movement and choreography, leading to collaborations on experiential projects and
installations beyond the scope of traditional editing. As an editor, her portfolio spans a diverse
range of formats, including commercials, fashion films, music videos, narrative shorts, and
artist-led films.
