Intersections: The UK Film Festival in Lebanon
Call for Registration - Video Gaming and Film Workshop
Deadline: 7 November 2025
The British Council and the UK Embassy in Lebanon, in partnership with Metropolis
Association and with the support of the GREAT Fund, are delighted to announce the launch
of Intersections: The UK Film Festival in Lebanon.
Intersections captures the meeting points between disciplines, perspectives, and cultures,
where film becomes a space of dialogue, experimentation, and exchange. It celebrates
encounters between the UK and Lebanon’s creative worlds, between cinema and society,
and between art and technology.
As part of the festival’s first edition, Metropolis and the British Council Lebanon invite
participants to join the Video Gaming and Film Workshop on 15 November 2025, from 3:00
PM to 5:00 PM
Led by Pinny Grylls and Sam Crane, directors of the award-winning film Grand Theft Hamlet,
the session will explore how the realm of gaming can become a new medium for storytelling.
Participants will dive into the creative techniques of using game environments in filmmaking:
from concept and performance to editing and production.
Registration is open until 7 November 2025.
Places are limited, and confirmation emails with the venue details will be sent based on seat
availability.
The workshop will be held in English and is open to participants aged 18 and above.
