Cinematheque Beirut is a new project by the Metropolis Association dedicated to the conservation of Lebanese cinema heritage.

 

Today, Cinematheque Beirut consists of an online database dedicated to Lebanese cinema, the production of a series of interviews with prominent personalities of the Lebanese film industry, as well as programming classic and contemporary movies from Lebanon.

 

These three activities form the solid base that will allow Cinematheque Beirut, in the years to come, to work on acquiring and preserving film and non-film material as well as building a venue to host the cinematheque’s film programs and collections.
