Talents Beirut is a project that aims to support film talents from the Arab World, allowing them to reflect on their own works by connecting with other emerging and confirmed talents, and by discovering new ways to approach the art of filmmaking, whether from technical or theoretical point of views.
Talents Beirut has hosted more than 100 talents from the Arab World, allowing them to meet with established film professionals including Oscar-nominated director Joshua Oppenheimer (The Look of Silence), multiple-award winning filmmaker Raed Andoni (Ghost Hunting), renowned cinematographer Sofian El Fani (Blue Is the Warmest Color), sound designer and Foley artist Nicolas Becker (Arrival), editor Andrew Bird (In the Fade) and music composer Khyam Allami (As I Open My Eyes).
Organized by the Metropolis Association and the Goethe-Institut Libanon, in collaboration with the Berlinale Talents and ARRI, and with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC.
