Lebanon, at the end of the 80s. After ten years of absence, Khalil suddenly reappears in Beirut. His return spreads turmoil, doubt and anger among his close friends and former companions-in-arms, who believed he was dead.

لبنان، في أواخر الثمانينيات. بعد غيابٍ دام عشرة أعوام، يعود خليل إلى بيروت.
فتُحدث عودتُه مشاعرَ اضطراب، وارتياب، وغضب في نفوس أقربائه وزملائه في الكفاح الذين اعتقدوه ميتاً.

Ghassan Salhab directed nine feature films: Phantom Beirut, Terra Incognita, The Last Man, 1958, The Mountain, The Valley, An open Rose/Warda, The river and NIght is day in addition to numerous “essays” and different “video works”, including (Posthumous), Chinese ink, Son Image, and Le voyage immobile with Mohamed Soueid.… La Rochelle International Film Festival, JCC Carthage, GIFF (Mexico), La Cinémathèque du Québec and others made a tribute to his work. He has also published different texts and articles in various magazines, and two books: “fragments du Livre du naufrage” and “à contre-jour (depuis Beyrouth)”.

أخرج غسان سلهب تسعة أفلام روائية طويلة هي Phantom Beirut و Terra Incognita و The Last Man و 1958 و The Mountain و The Valley و An open Rose/Warda و The river و Night is day، إضافةً إلى العديد من المقالات المصوّرة وأعمال الفيديو المختلفة، من بينها Posthumous و Chinese ink و Son Image و Le voyage immobile مع محمد سويد. وقد كرّمت مهرجانات ومؤسسات سينمائية عدّة أعماله، منها مهرجان La Rochelle International Film Festival وأيام قرطاج السينمائية JCC Carthage ومهرجان GIFF في المكسيك و La Cinémathèque du Québec وغيرها. كما نشر نصوصًا ومقالات متعددة في مجلات مختلفة، وأصدر كتابين هما fragments du Livre du naufrage و à contre-jour (depuis Beyrouth).
