ملخص الفيلم:

لطالما أحبّ الصديقان سيلفانا ومحمد السير معاً. هي بإعاقتها الجسدية جالسة على كرسيها المتحرك، وهو بإعاقته البصرية، يدفع كرسيها فترشده إلى الطريق. وعلى الرغم من أنهما عاشا العزل المُمَأسس، وتشاركا التجارب المؤلمة نفسها، أيضًا يتشاركان التصميم على أن يكونا في العالم - بشكل مستقل، وعلى الاستمرار في الكفاح والنضال، والضحك والرقص. 

وصف ملصق الفيلم:

على كورنيش البحر في بيروت، يدفع محمد زميلته سيلفانا الجالسة على كرسي متحرك. سيلفانا تنظر إلينا. خلفهما أضواء الجبل وصولاً الى البحر. على طرفي ملصق الفيلم نرى فتاتين تسيران على رصيف الكورنيش.

في أعلى الملصق اسم الفيلم: "الشاطئ الآخر"؛ فيلم لـ ماهر أبي سمرا.

Film synopsis:

Sylvana and Mohamad are old friends who like to walk together. She has a physical disability, and he a visual disability; he pushes her wheelchair as she guides the way. They have both faced segregation and institutionalization, and share the same painful experiences, but also the same determination to be in the world – to fight, to laugh, to dance. Their irrepressible freedom, breaking the image of helplessness imposed on them, is a constant act of resistance.

Description of the film poster:

On a seaside promenade, Mohamad pushes Sylvana who is seated on a wheelchair. Sylvana looks in our direction. Behind her, we see mountain lights stretching all the way down to the sea. On the left and right edges of the poster are two women walking along the promenade.

At the top of the poster is the title of the film: From the Other Shore, followed by: a film by Maher Abi Samra.

At the bottom right of the poster is written: with Sylvana Lakkis, Mohammed Loutfy and Amer Makarem. At the bottom left is the film’s title in English.
