Corral is a political drama set in the rural Brazilian city of Gravatá. During the mayoral elections, the population is divided between the Blue and Red parties, two political oligarchies fighting each other for power. A recent severe draught means water is the main bargaining chip when it comes to securing a majority of people’s votes.
Chico Caixa is a former employee of the small city of Gravatá. When the neighborhood he grew up is affected by a severe drought, he loses his job trying to bring water supplies to his family and friends. He goes against corrupt politicians that use water as the main bargaining coin to get votes and be in power for decades. Caixa is then invited by his childhood friend, Joel, to work on his political campaign and bring new blood and change to the scene. As the campaign progresses, however, Chico Caixa soon realizes that challenging the established politicians can be a dangerous game. Corral is a political
