When Iris is told by her father Jan that he has had enough of life and wants to die, she is forced to face the total absurdity of the situation. As his unsettling deadline approaches, she strong-arms her father into answering the one question that matters to her: why? Without ever getting a satisfactory answer, she eventually tries to find herself a way to deal with her father’s very last wish.

Quand le père d’Iris, Jan, l’informe qu’il en a assez de vivre et qu’il souhaite mourir, elle est obligée de faire face à l’absurdité totale de la situation. À mesure que l’échéance est de plus en plus proche, elle oblige son père à répondre à la seule question qui compte à ses yeux : pourquoi ? Elle n’obtiendra aucune réponse satisfaisante et finira par exaucer le tout dernier vœu de son père.

تواجه آيريس العبثيةَ بكل تجلّياتها عندما يخبرها والدها بأنه قد ملّ من الحياة ويرغب في الموت. ومع اقتراب ساعة الصفر، تحاول دفع والدها باتجاه العثور على الإجابة على السؤال الوحيد الذي يشغلها: لماذا؟ لكنها لا تجد أيّ إجابة مرضية على الإطلاق. فترضخ في النهاية للواقع وتحاول العثور على وسيلة لتقبّل رغبة والدها الأخيرة.
