In a small village in Finland, the poet and writer Mika Lätti, and his friend, director Aki Kaurismäki, are constructing their own cinema theater within an old foundry. Employing recycled wood, metal, and pre-owned furniture, Kaurismäki and the residents of Karkkila collaboratively craft Kino Laika. The venue is surrounded by Cadillacs, motorcycles, rock bars, and the awe-inspiring beauty of nature, encapsulating the very essence of cinema's enchantment - a place where the magic resides in its profound capacity to instigate change.

بين أحضان قرية فنلنديّة صغيرة، يشرع الشاعر ميكا لاتي وصديقه المخرج آكي كاوريسماكي في بناء دار سينما خاصّة بهما داخل مصنع قديم. متوسّلين بالأخشاب المعاد تدويرها وببعض الألواح المعدنيّة والأثاث القديم، يتعاون كاوريسماكي وسكان قرية كاركيلا في إنشاء «سينما لايكا». يتجلّى الموقع الجديد للعيان محاطًا بسيارات الكاديلاك والدراجات الناريّة والحانات التي تضجّ بالحياة، فضلا عمّا يلّف ذاك المكان من جمال طبيعيّ يقطع الأنفاس. فتتضافر هذه العوامل المختلفة مجسّدةً جوهر فتنة السينما، أي المكان الذي ينبع سحره من قدرته العميقة على إحداث التغيير.
