He bought a video camera in 1983, and nothing has been the same since. “Films are reality.” he told me. A few years later, he asked for Nicole Ballan’s leaked sex tape. "The Video Story" is based on the home video archive of a family whose relationship to reality and fantasy changed drastically when a VHS camera was introduced into their lives.

بعدما اقتني والدي كاميرا ڤيديو عام ١٩٨٥ لم تعد الأمور كما اعتدناها. "الأفلام هي الواقع" هكذا كان يقول لي. وبعد بضعة سنوات طلب مني الشريط الإباحي المُسرّب لنيكول بلّان. "قصّة الڤيديو" مبني على الأرشيف المصوّر لعائلة تغيّرت علاقتها بالواقع والخيال جذريًا بعد دخول كاميرا VHS إلى حياتها.
