meteors... is a silent found footage film composed of images drawn from the Katsakh Mediterranean Archive — a collection of non-fiction Super 8mm and 16mm films capturing cities and villages of the Eastern Mediterranean from the 1930s to the 1980s, initiated in 2020 by Chantal Partamian. Between images and words unfolds a poetic exchange that traces the paths of exile, imprinting the landscapes — here and elsewhere — with a history steeped in memory and mourning.

"النيازك" هو فيلم صامت يتكوّن من صور مأخوذة من أرشيف كاتساخ المتوسطي — وهي مجموعة من الأفلام غير الروائية بصيغة سوبر 8 مم و16 مم، توثّق مدنًا وقرى في شرق البحر الأبيض المتوسط، من ثلاثينيات حتى ثمانينيات القرن العشرين، وأُطلقت عام ٢٠٢٠ بمبادرة من شانتال بارتاميان. بين الصور والكلمات يتجلّى تبادل شعري يرسم مسارات المنفى، ويطبع المناظر الطبيعية، هنا وهناك، بقصة مطبوعة بالذاكرة والفقدان.

Ghada Sayegh is a professor, researcher and filmmaker. Member of the editorial board of the Montreal-based online film journal Hors champ, she has written numerous articles on cinema and contemporary art in Lebanon.

غادة الصايغ أستاذة جامعية وباحثة وصانعة أفلام. إنها عضو في هيئة تحرير المجلة السينمائية الإلكترونية "هور شان" التي مقرها في (مونتريال) وقد كتبت مقالات عديدة عن السينما والفن المعاصر في لبنان.
